Lenten Program – 2025
Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday night at 6:30pm throughout Lent commencing Friday 7 March and concluding on Friday 11 April.
Lent is a penitential season of prayer, self-denial and helping others. In this way, the whole church prepares for Easter with those who are to be baptised. Other celebrations in Lent (e g marriage) must take account of the spirit of penance, musical instruments are only used to sustain singing and floral decorations are very simple.
Catholics are obliged to received holy communion at least once a year, in Australian between Ash Wednesday and Trinity Sunday.

Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope,
Fast from worries and have trust in God.
Fast from complaints and contemplate simplicity.
Fast from pressures and be prayerful.
Fast from bitterness and fill your hearts with joy.
Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others.
Fast from grudges and be reconciled.
Fast from words and be silent so you can listen!
