Migrant and Refugee Sunday
On 26 September, the Catholic Church around the world celebrates the World Day of Migrants and Refugees (also known as Migrant and Refugee Sunday). Pope Francis invites us to work “Towards an ever wider ‘we’ and embrace the resilience and contribution of migrants and refugees to the Church and society.

Parishioners are invited to two great events on that day.
1. Our “Diocesan Journey… Walking with Refugees” team invites you to a Virtual Diocesan Conversation with Refugees, 26 September 2021, 3:00-4:15 pm.
You will hear personal stories from people with a lived experience as refugees in NSW and find out more about the situation in Afghanistan first-hand.
2. The “150 Days of Action for Refugees” campaign invites you to take part in a “Call to Lamentation and Commitment” Online Vigil, 26 September 2021, 7:00 pm. You can find more information and register at the Justice and Peace Office:
